Does Supabase back up your project?
Some plans keep a database copy. Every one of those copies is stored inside the project it protects.
Delete the project and its backups disappear.

Already lost something?
A dropped table, a migration that ran twice, an agent that deleted rows while you watched. We can't get yesterday back. If the data is gone and nobody kept a copy, no tool can, and anything that says otherwise is selling you something. Reeve makes sure there is a copy waiting next time.
Why a rollback did not bring the data backWhat one copy holds
A copy is the whole app at a moment: structure, rows and every file upload, checked together.
- Every table, every row. Structure included.
- Every file upload. Put back where it was.
- Verified before it counts. Or the date never appears.
Kept: 30 copies on Care · 90 on Pro and Max
Backup of users' valuable files
Put back only the rows and your app returns full of broken pictures. The row remembers where a file was kept. The file itself is gone.

Reeve makes a database and files backup together. And puts both back with the same button.
Four ways to back up a Supabase app
What each one copies, and what happens when you need it back.
The other three hand you a file. This one hands you a button.

What changed the week they stopped worrying.
I scanned my app and found that 2 Supabase tables were readable to anyone. I was shocked. Now after every deployment I check my app with Reeve Care scan tools. 5 stars.
I vibe-coded my first app in three weeks. Got a successful launch using my socials and 72 paying customers. But then one stupid prompt erased the payments table. Found Reeve with daily Supabase backups, and now I sleep peacefully.
I’ve been helping manage and deploy vibe-coded apps for a year now. I prepare them for their first production launch and support them afterward. Currently using Reeve Care Max for 8 apps.
scanned my app with a free scanner but still had no idea where i was leaking secrets. reeve support found an exposed key + source map for me. btw i store my backups here now
Switched from Supabase paid plan because they only keep data for 7 days. Reeve stores both of my apps for 45 days. The one-click restore button with options is solid and I already used it once and it worked.
I’ve been in the design business for 6 years. Decided to build my first app with Lovable. Found this free scanner that helped me discover what was wrong + some tips. Nothing major, just 3 issues.
Their restore button is pure magic. Saved me a whole day of digging through the Supabase console. I only needed to restore specific tables, not the full database and Reeve lets you do that with one tap.
Got a B grade from the scanner. Then I read about backups on this website and never thought I’d actually need them. You can download any backup to your PC anytime. Uptime monitoring is useful too.
Saved my day. Successfully restored a DB column from 9 days ago. Thanks
I didn’t take backups seriously until a database disaster happened. The project stopped opening. After a painful half day I was able to find help. Now I use Reeve Care for backups and app reports

The database key we ask for can only read. Storage has no read-only key in Supabase, so the files key can write. Both are encrypted with a key only your account has, nobody at Reeve reads your data, and you can cancel in one click.
Backups are one line on the Reeve Care schedule.
The same subscription keeps doing all of this, on its own, from the day you connect your app.

Questions people actually ask
Does the Supabase free plan have backups?
No. A Supabase Pro project is copied once a day and about a week of those copies is kept. Free projects get nothing kept for them, and Supabase's own docs suggest exporting the data yourself.
Does this work on the Supabase free plan?
Yes. Automated backups run from outside your project, through a read-only key, so which Supabase plan you are on makes no difference. The copies live on our storage, not in your project.
I restored an old version and my data did not come back. Why?
Version history in Lovable, Bolt and Replit rolls back your code. Your data lives in Supabase and is untouched by it. Two different things, and only one has an undo by default. If the data is already gone and there is no copy of it anywhere, we cannot get it back for you. Nobody can. What we can do is make sure there is a copy the next time.
An AI agent deleted my data. Can I get it back?
Only from a copy. If a prompt dropped a table or an agent rewrote rows and nothing kept a copy first, those rows are gone and no tool can rebuild them. With Reeve there is a restore point from before the prompt ran. You pick it and put it back yourself, and a safety copy of the current state is taken before anything is replaced.
Is this an alternative to point-in-time recovery?
For most vibe-coded apps, yes. Point-in-time recovery (PITR) rewinds to any second and is priced per project on top of a paid plan. Reeve keeps scheduled backups you can name and restore yourself, and it covers the files your users uploaded, which PITR does not.
Does Lovable back up my database?
Lovable keeps versions of your project. The database is Supabase's and follows Supabase's rules, which on the free plan means no backups.
Are the files my users uploaded included?
Yes, from Supabase Storage, on every plan. They are copied with each backup and put back by the same restore button. Connecting the storage key is optional, and your database is backed up either way.
Can I download a copy and walk away?
Yes. Any verified copy downloads as a standard zip: the structure, every row, the roles, and a README explaining what is what. It is the database, so uploaded files are not in the zip, though they are in the restore.
What happens to my copies if I cancel?
Backups and watching stop. Your restore points stay for 30 days in case you change your mind, and they are deleted when that retention window ends.
How long does a restore take?
You watch it happen. The database goes back first, then the files, and how long that takes depends on how much there is. At the end you are told what came back, and anything that did not.
Do you look at my users' data?
No. Every copy is encrypted with a key belonging to your account alone and stored in the EU, and nobody at Reeve reads them.
How do you know a copy actually works?
We read it back. As soon as a copy is made, Reeve opens it again and counts the rows in every table against what the database held when the copy started. If a number does not match, the copy is not marked verified and you hear about it. So VERIFIED next to a restore point means we opened the copy afterwards and everything was in it.
